Sri Lanka picks 6 slicers for SAARC Championship

The Sri Lanka Carrom Federation has picked a six-member national pool for the forthcoming SAARC Carrom Championship which will be held in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
The Sri Lanka men’s team which is captained by national champion Nishantha Fernando will include Chamil Cooray and Mohamed Sheriffdeen.
The women’s side which is led by Joseph Roshita includes Madushika Kanchanamala and Chalani Lakmali.
This championship organised by the Asian Carrom Confederation will be held from July 11 to 14 with the participation of seven South Asian countries.
India, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Maldives, Nepal, Bhutan and the hosts Bangladesh will participate in the SAARC championships where events will be held for Men's and Women's Singles, Men's and Women's Doubles, Mixed Doubles and Team events in both categories.
The Sri Lankan contingent as follows is scheduled to leave Sri Lanka on 10th July and return on 15th July 2012.
