            17වන සාර්ක් කැරම්  තරඟාවලියේදී ශ්‍රී ලාංකීය ක්‍රීඩක ක්‍රීඩිකාවන්ගෙන්  ඉහල දස්කම්

ඉන්දියාවේ කොල්කටා  නුවර පැවැත්වෙන  17වන සාර්ක් කැරම්  තරඟාවලියේදී පිරිමි කේවල ඉසව්ව , පිරිමි යුගල තරඟය හා කාන්තා යුගල තරඟය ජයග්‍රහණය කිරීමට ශ්‍රී ලාංකා කැරම්  කණ්ඩායම සමත්වූහ.
                පිරිමි අවසාන මහා තරඟයේදී කැරම් ලෝක ශූර නිශාන්ත ප්‍රනාන්දු ඉන්දියාවේ සන්දීප් දෙව්රුක්කාර් පරාජය කරමින් එහි ශූරතාවය දිනාගත්තේය. පිරිමි යුගල තරඟයේදී නිශාන්ත ප්‍රනාන්දු සමග චමිල් කුරේ ඉන්දියාවේ යෝගේෂ් පර්දේසි සහ ශ්‍රිනිවාස් පරාජය කලහ. කාන්තා යුගල අවසන් තරඟයේදී චලනි ලියනගේ සමග රොෂිටා ජෝසෆ් ඉන්දියාවේ ඉලවසකි හා රශ්මි කුමාරි පරාජය කිරීමට සමත්වූහ.

මෙයට අමතරව මිශ්‍ර යුගල ඉසව්වේ අනු ශූරතාවය යසිකා රාහුබද්ද සහ බ්‍රින්ඩ්ලි වික්‍රමසිංහ විසින් දිනාගත්හ. පිරිමි සහ කාන්තා කණ්ඩායම් ඉසව් ඉන්දියාව ජයග්‍රහණය කල අතර එහි අනුශූරතාව ශ්‍රී ලංකාවට හිමි වුවේය.

World Carrom Champion D.N.Fernando (Sri Lanka) Won the 17th SAARC Carrom Championship Men's Singles Finals against Sandeep Devrukhakar (India) which is held in Kolkata ,India. 

In the Men's Doubles Finals D.N. Fernando and Chamil Darshana Cooray (Sri Lanka) won against Yogesh & SriNiwas (India).

and also Roshita Joseph and Chalani Liyanage (Sri Lanka) won the women' s Double's Title defeating  Ilavazhaki & Rashmi Kumari (India) and Brindly Wickramasinghe and Yasika Rahubadda (Sri Lanka) won runners -up in Mixed double event.
